No worries. I'm not sure why I even mentioned it. Thanks for all the tutorials, by the way.

OK, I see that now. Very sorry about that. What I should have said is that it may depend on the input settings. Thanks Brandon for pointing this out. Please note that the original requester did not feel I blamed him in any way.

You blamed the end user, Peter, although it was probably unintentional...

"...there is no reason why your Camtasia Videos should lose any quality unless you are doing something wrong."

I make no claims about the output quality of any version.

Hi Diane,

I am not sure who has blamed the end user. I have used All Camtasia Studio since version 5 and all new versions has enhanced my results with better video and less problems. What's the problem you are experiencing with version 7?

Cheers,
Peter

Hi George,

I would definitely recommend that you upgrade to the latest Camtasia Studio. Version 7 is going to be released soon and if you upgrade now you will automatically be upgraded to that version. A lot has happened with Camtasia since version 2 and you can still use the later versions with XP without problems. I am pretty sure that the problems you are experiencing will have been fixed in later releases.

You can upgrade to Camtasia 6/7 here:

I am using Camtasia Studio 2 with an xp pc. I am recording an animated powerpoint file and the text comes out with poor resolution.

What can I do to optimize the screen capture video in terms of clarity?
